Sledding on Shabbat

Rabbi Linzer, in your snow teshuva I don’t think you clarify if there is any problem with adults sledding on Shabbat. Can you clarify in which situations adults would be permitted to sled (with their children? on their own?). Also, is there any additional concern on a designated sledding hill, where the inevitable packing of the snow under the sled is actually a desired improvement as it makes the hill better for sledding?

Using a Grinder Pump for a Toilet on Shabbat

QUESTION

A basement bathroom has a grinder pump that goes off every time the toilet is flushed. Can the toilet be used on Shabbat?

ANSWER

If it happens every time, then it is a pesik reisha denicha lei of a grama. The actually issur being performed is really only electricity. I can’t think how grinding waste fits into any category of a melakhah. So there are many reasons to be lenient:
